Vega Auto Accessories Pvt Ltd, the main helmet producer, is putting in a new manufacturing unit at Belgaum at an investment of ₹a hundred crores. The new plant, which might start operations by using 2020, would take production to 20,000 to 22,000 helmets consistent with the day, thereby, making Vega the world’s largest helmet producer, said Girdhari Chandak, Managing Director, Vega Auto Accessories.
At gift, the agency has three production units – two in Uttarakhand and one in Belgaum – with a complete manufacturing capability of 12,000 helmets according to today, he stated.
